The 1970's saw us going from strength to strength. During the decade we added Austrian, Norwegian, Ukranian and French (Chalons) costumes to the existing Israeli costume, and we even replaced the Israeli with a new set.

We took part in a village fete, had a visit from a French group and celebrated our 10th Anniversary year. (we started in November 1967 for a trial period, but our first full year was 1968).

See How They Dance

We performed at two "See How They Dance" events in the 70's at Chatham Town Hall.

24th January 1970 - we performed 5 Israeli dances (Batsurym, Le'Or Chiyuchech, Kuma Echa, Hoi Harmonica and Hinei Ma Tov. The programme said about us "active membership now exceeds 60 from 15years upeards. Meetings Tuesdays, beginners 7:15pm, advanced from 8:15pm"

5th February 1972 - we performed 5 Austrian dances (Jägermarsch, Bayerischer Ländler, Kreuz König, Sänftenburger and Der Windmüller. Wilf played the accordian for us.
